Casa Dona Maria is a characteristic old Portuguese house built of granite, situated in the centre of the village.
From the front door, which is close to a traditional parish church, you step out into the picturesque streets of Vila Cova, and from the veranda there is a panoramic of the valley and the river, the Rio Alva, which is a short walk away.
The house is divided into three apartments, two of which are to let. One flat is on the first floor and can accommodate up to four people, the other one is on the ground floor and suited for up to six people. The apartments have their own entrance and a balcony or terrace with a view of the river Alva, whilst the rest of the garden is available for use by the guests.
The house can be reached by car and parking space is plentiful on the square in front of the curch closeby.
The advantages of Casa Dona Maria are that whilst it is in the centre of a typical small Portuguese community, it is also located in the peaceful valley of the River Alva.
